About Joan Wilson-Jones

Just when we thought we knew all about ‘doing more with less’, ‘maximising resources’ and ‘focusing on outcomes’, along came the Global Economic Crisis and the squeeze increased even more.

New times demand new approaches and ideas.  Real innovation is what gets us through successfully.  Relationships more than ever are what successful organisations are using to drive their growth and recovery.

Joan Wilson-Jones has been lifting organisations by ‘inspiring its people’ for some decades now.  Both from an internal focus as a successful senior manager and from an external perspective as a consultant.

Noted for her refreshingly humanistic approach, Joan uses modelling to embed ideas and activity to spark enthusiasm.  Laughter fuels both her sessions and the long lasting results of participants who attend her sessions.

Her capacity to motivate is well recognised but most of all her credibility is unblemished as she draws from real experience, can share both triumphs and stumbles and demonstrates the imperative ‘walking the talk’ in all aspects of her life.

Her experience is well supported with relevant academic, holistic and real life study.  A true explorer of knowledge, insight and creativity, Joan’s information melting pot provides a breadth of research (both empirical and anecdotal) that successfully launches people into new and valuable thoughts and actions.

Joan specialises in customised training packages, all workshops and interventions are tailored in consultation with the client to ensure best fit/right time learning each time.
Over the decades of her professional experience Joan has worked with both public and private sector organisations and a range of community groups.  Working closely with her clients she has achieved outstanding results in the learning & development of staff, enhanced management practices, clearer visions and solid pathways to excellence.

Joan holds a Master of Education (Adult and Workplace Education) from the Queensland University of Technology and a B.A. in Cultural Studies from Griffith University Queensland.
She has studied concepts of Core Energy Management with Dr William Bloom in Scotland and attended workshops in life transition and dealing with change in New York.  Joan is an accredited MBTI (individual personality indicator) and MTR-I (teams profile indicator) facilitator, a level 2 Reiki practitioner, an accredited 1:1 Heartmath provider and an accredited PSYCH-K facilitator.

Acknowledgments and Achievements

Twice nominated for the Telstra Business Woman of the Year awards, and awarded a Commendation for Management Excellence from the Australian Institute of Management, Joan brings both practical experience and a solid academic framework to her work.  However, her credibility stems directly from the obvious way she lives and breathes her work.  Joan’s greatest examples of possibility and growth are the success with which she incorporates her concepts into her own life and the results she achieves.  Joan is noted for her innovative approach to her work, her ability to establish and maintain valuable rapport and worthwhile relationships with people, her enthusiasm and high energy and her sense of humour and fun.
